Amathea — Ideas Take FlightBack to home

About Amathea

Technical depth. Human understanding.

Amathea is a Caribbean digital solutions company helping organizations turn worthwhile ideas into clear, useful experiences.

The story

Built across disciplines, grounded in the Caribbean.

The studio is led by Chivaughn Charles, a software engineer and design lead with more than five years of experience across web and mobile products. Her work sits at the intersection of engineering, product thinking, user experience, and visual systems.

That range matters because digital projects rarely fail in only one discipline. The message, workflow, interface, and technology need to support the same goal. Amathea approaches them as connected parts of one experience.

With a BSc in Computer Science and Mathematics from The University of the West Indies, Chivaughn combines analytical thinking with a practical understanding of how people use technology in the real world.

Our inspiration

The butterfly behind the name.

Amathea takes its name and visual inspiration from Anartia amathea, often called the scarlet peacock. Its deep wings, vivid red bands, and delicate white markings echo the colour and movement at the heart of our identity.

For us, the butterfly represents thoughtful transformation: an idea taking shape, gaining clarity, and becoming ready to move through the world. That sense of progress informs both the Amathea mark and the way we approach digital work.

How we think

Simple ideas. Real impact.

01

Clarity before complexity

We make the objective, audience, and decisions visible before adding technology or features.

02

Design with context

We shape experiences around real people, local realities, and the way an organization actually works.

03

Build for progress

We create a useful foundation that can launch confidently and improve as new information emerges.
